Ways to style a blazer

Blazers are one of the most versatile jackets. Many tend to mostly consider it for a formal wear or office and business wear only, but the blazer has a wide outfit range. The blazer itself is an cloth that gives quite a formal look to it but with the right outfit can be worn even with shorts. A good custom made blazer can give you a mature, authoritative and classy look all in one.

Here's some of the various styles that can go well with a blazer:

1. Blazer with long sleeve button up shirt and tie

This look gives a formal vibe to it. It is usually worn in formal occasions like a business meeting, interview, presentation, or a formal party. You can always mix the colors like in the pic above or wear it as an either three or two piece suit. For the shoes, a good pair of loafers or formal shoes would be perfect for this outfit. Also don't forget to add some accessories to it like a pocket square, watch or even a tie pin.

2. Blazer with long sleeve button up shirt

This is a bit similar to the first one but the twist comes in the tie. Just by taking the tie out of the equation create a whole new outfit. Can be worn in casual areas with either jeans and loafers or plain white sneakers or tailored pants with formal shoes. A good occasion would be a dinner date, office wear, church wear, a lunch meeting or weddings.

3. Blazer with jeans

This outfit gives a more casual look to it because of the jeans. Though it can be considered a bit formal, the proper term would be business casual wear. It has similar choices of occasion like the similar one although the tie is optional.

4. Blazer with polo shirt and chinos.

Now this is one of my favorite blazer outfits. The polo shirt and blazer go so well together and topping is off with a nice pair of chinos pants completes the outfit perfectly. The shoes can be vary according to event, plain white sneakers for casual wear or loafers for business casual wear or weddings.

5. Blazer with t-shirt and plain white sneakers

Also my favorite  dapper casual look. This look is very stylish and doesn't much yet gives out more than you'd think. The pants can either be tailored, chinos or jeans because they all go so well with this look. I'd recommend this for casual meetups, travelling, brunch, lunch or coffee dates. Sunglasses would be a good accessory to go with this look. Also in a cold weather, you can change the t-shirt to turtle neck.

6. Blazer with sweater

This look comes in handy during the cold season. It keeps you warm yet stylish at the same time. It is best worn in business casual occasions. If you wanna try in a forma occasion you can change the pants to tailored, add formal shoes to it and finish it up with a tie. Good for business meetings, interviews and presentations.

7. Blazer with shorts

As i said in the beginning, blazers can be worn with shorts especially in the hot seasons when you wanna look dapper yet still weather friendly this is the look for you. The shirt can either be polo, t-shirt or button-up shirt and match it with loafers or plain with sneakers to finish your look. For those out in vacations this is will suite you well.

As you have read, these are some of the various ways to style up your blazer according to the various occasion or weather you may be having. Be sure to try them all and also try to get out of your comfort zone by trying new styles every now and then. For the next blog I'll be writing about how to find your personal style.
