Tips on how to look good on a budget

 

people have been lead to believe that expensive or famous or brand is the only way to always look good or look rich. you'd be surprised how much men out here are losing their money on a yearly basis just to impress the girl child. I mean don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with impressing the ladies but if there's a better and cheaper way to do it why waste the money? So here's some of the various ways to look good and yet still be on a budget:

1. Clean & Fit

this alone has the ability to make you look like a millionaire without even having those millions believe me I've seen it work. always make sure your clothes fit you according to your body type and size. It doesn't have to be tight or skinny for it to be fit, just a good fit that gives you the comfort of movement yet still hugs your body. even second hand clothes, as long as they are clean and fit you can elevate your outfit so much. and even though sometimes it is hard to find your perfect size you can always opt for a good tailor to resize it for you.

2. Minimal pattern and color

this is a major thing here in Mombasa. for some reason I've never really understood, guys in their teens and youth age tend to like clothes with so much pattern and colors. of course to some extend it can work for you but unless you actually know how to match you're just a walking rainbow. At the very least you can always go with one bright colored clothing and then dull it out with some dark colors for the rest of your outfit like so:

see how the bright pants get reduced out with the shoes and shirt. just one color per clothing and they match together, simple yet stylish. 

3. Trends

this is also another thing that empty's guys wallet like crazy. trying to follow celebrity fashion trends that for some those celebrities are actually being paid to wear to convince you that it's the new trend. You don't need to follow trends in order to look good, just build up your wardrobe well enough that no matter the occasion you can always get the outfit in your wardrobe. Fill it with all the essentials that you need to look good always and gives you the confidence to go out there face the world. If you're buying clothes for every event then my fellow man your wardrobe is lacking.

4.Sales & Offers

This right here is where the magic happens. With this you can get expensive clothes at a cheaper price especially in boutiques. My personal favorite is LC Waikiki, their offers and sales are so good you can actually get a new, fit, good quality clothe for half the price. Especially shoes coz if you wanna invest in building your wardrobe then you need to make sure your shoes are on point.

5. Shoe game

As said in the previous point, your shoe game is key in upgrading your outfits. A shoe can elevate or degrade your outfit. That's why having a good long lasting shoe is of high importance in building your wardrobe and your style. 

6. DIY (Do It Yourself)

this aspect focuses on your creativity. Let's say you have some old clothes that are still in good condition but have maybe faded or don't look as good anymore. Here's where DIY comes in, you can recreate the cloth by tweaking it a bit here and there changing the cloths design making it look even better and makes you unique. a good example would be a denim shirt. You can tweak a denim shirt by adding some African material to it or even a checked patterned material to it which elevates the denim shirt to something way better than before like so:

7. Grooming

Lastly men's grooming, this essential for every guy out there as ladies always and I mean ALWAYS notice these things no matter how small. Always keep your hair neat and clean, nails short, brush your lips to make them more plump and less dry and this last one is super important, scrape your tongue as this is how you deal with bad breath. A good haircut with a good outfit already puts you ahead of every other guy.
